One of the outstanding characteristics of the Newfoundland Dog is its relationship with children.  Although very large in size, these dogs are extremely gentle and extremely careful around little people.  Our grandson Anthony was born June 18, 2005.  In these pictures he's relating to Francesca, a black female.
