There are a number of clubs and organizations that can provide help and information about dogs in general and about Newfoundlands in particular.  To begin with there is the Canadian Kennel Club and its corresponding organization in the U.S.A., the American Kennel Club.  Both of these web sites will provide you with the basic information you need about registration, events, breed standards &c.

In terms of national breed organizations, there is Newfoundland Dog Club of Canada and the Newfoundland Club of America.  Within each of these national clubs there are provincial and/or regional clubs that promote the breed in specific geographical areas.  Our local club in this part of the world is the Central Ontario Region of the Newfoundland Dog Club of Canada.
